My training techniques follow a focused, structured and reward & correction based approach.
Every dog and owner are different, thus my strategy is always tailor-made. My lessons are one-to-one only (no classes), quite active with clear guidance, advice and correction for the owner.
I can help with a variety of issues . . .
I will show you how to . . .
I offer both home visits (esp. with puppies or problems at home) and outdoor sessions. When the dog and owner are ready I also offer training walks to put learnt behaviour into practice and to the test.
I do like the whole family to get involved to guarantee consistency of approach within the pack.
How many lessons someone needs depends on complexity and severity of issues (e.g. trauma in rescue dogs) and how long they have become habitual. But also and particularly on the level of committment and openmindedness coming from the owner.
Whilst younger dogs may learn quicker, no dog (or owner) is too old to learn and change. You will see on my testimonial page that some owners have seen a dramatic change in their dog's behaviour after just one or a couple of sessions.
This more likely because of what the owner - not the dog - has learnt. Resulting in a change of the owner's behaviour towards the dog.
Please remember that consistency is the key to success.
You will only achieve results if you commit to continue the work.
No star is ever born overnight and hardly ever without hard work.
Your time and energy investment will pay off an be worth it.
What you will get is a dog that not only loves you as its owner.
But also fully respects you as its leader.
With respect comes submission.
With submission comes obedience.
Your dog will be relaxed, well behaved and sane.
You will be a confident, in control and proud dog owner as a result.
