My training is quite focused and structured and follows a reward and correction approach. Often my main focus lies on teaching the owner, rather than the dog.
I only offer one-on-one training so I can fully tailor my approach to the relationship and needs of the particular dog and owner. I can help with a variety of issues . . .
I will show you how to . . .
I offer both home visits and outdoor sessions. When dog and owner are ready, I also offer training walks to put the learnt behaviour to the test. I do like the whole family to get involved in training to guarantee consistency within the pack. How many lessons someone needs depends on issue complexity and severity (e.g. trauma in rescue dogs) and how committed the owner is to practising outside our sessions. Whilst younger dogs may learn quicker, no dog (or owner) is ever too old to learn and change. You will see on my testimonial page that some owners have achieved considerable improvement in their and the dog's behaviour after just a couple of sessions. For gun dog breeds I also offer basic training on steadiness, hunting, whistle training, directions and retrieving. Please remember that no star is ever born overnight and that consistency and perseverance is the key to success. Time and energy investment usually pays off and what you will get is a relationship that is not only based on love but also respect. With respect comes happy submission and with submission comes obedience. Your dog will be relaxed, happy, well behaved and sane. And you will be a proud owner as a result. |
